We filed a complaint with the Registrar of Companies against AFRICAN QUEEN NO. 1 DISTRIBUTORS – SMC LIMITED, challenging the inclusion of the phrase “NO. 1” in its registered name.

We believe that the phrase is a promotional slogan portrayed as a business name, which misleads the public and gives the company an unfair marketing advantage. The name creates an unfair competition, and misleads consumers by implying unverified market dominance.

We sought an order requiring the company to remove the phrase “NO. 1” from its name in the interest of public policy, consumer protection, and fair business practice.
